I offer online trauma counselling across the UK.
I provide gentle, supportive therapy to help you process your experiences, thoughts and feelings,
enabling you to move forward at your own pace.
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my trauma and PTSD page. My name is Emma Newbury and I am a therapist providing Online and telephone counselling to adults across the UK.
Trauma can have a lasting impact on the way you think, feel, and experience the world and your life. The effects of trauma can continue long after the event or events.
The effects of trauma can cause you to feel on edge, anxious, emotionally numb, easily or constantly overwhelmed. You may not fully understand why you are feeling this way.
You don't have to face this alone.
Arrange a free consultation today, and start your journey to regaining control.

It is not just about what happened to you, but the way your mind and body responded to it.
I offer a chance to reflect on what happened, helping you process everything at your own pace.
Trauma can be the the result of one event, a series of difficult or overwhelming experiences, or a culmination of mini-traumas
Whatever the cause, the outcome is often similar.
I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully-qualified therapist I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics.
Trauma can be linked to experiences within relationships, and this can include physical or emotional abuse.
If this resonates with you, you can read more on my Domestic Abuse Counselling page.
Online counselling provides a safe, supportive space in which you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
I can help you make sense of what you've been through and start reducing the impact it has on your daily life.
I can help you work towards feeling calmer, regaining a sense of control, starting to feel like 'you' again, and improving sleep.
The Rewind Therapy Technique can be very effective when dealing with traumatic experiences.
My Rewind Therapy Technique page explains more.
A space where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace. You will be gently supported to process your thoughts and feelings.
No. You can talk about your experiences at your own pace. I will never ask intrusive questions that may make you feel uncomfortable or re-traumatise you.
Yes, what matters is that you feel safe and comfortable where you are. I will do all I can to make your sessions as comfortable as possible by using empathy, being genuine and not judging you.
This very much depends on you. Everyone is unique, and therefore will have differing experiences, including the depth of impact.
Rewind Therapy Technique can be very effective for survivors of trauma. For more information you can visit my Rewind Page Here.
I offer telephone and online sessions for clients in Lincolnshire and across the UK via Zoom, Teams and WhatsApp. Contact me to find out more about how online therapy works.
