Online & Telephone Counselling (UK)

Support for Anxiety & Overwhelm

If you are struggling with anxiety or constant worry, I can help you.

I provide online and telephone counselling across the UK. Calm, supportive sessions to help you feel more in control.

Welcome, and thank you for visiting my anxiety page.

My name is Emma Newbury and I am a therapist providing anxiety therapy online and over the phone, to adults all over the UK.

Are you feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck in your thoughts?

Some questions for you:

  • Do you feel anxious most days?
  • Do you struggle to switch off your thoughts?
  • Are you constantly overthinking?
  • Are you finding it difficult to relax?
  • Do you feel as though you're on edge for no obvious reason?
  • Do you want or need support but don't know where to start?
  • Is anxiety or overwhelm exhausting you?

Good news! You are in the right place. I provide a calm, safe, confidential space online, or on the phone, for you to talk about your worries from the comfort of your own home.

If any of the questions above sounded familiar to you, don't worry! You are not alone- many people suffer from anxiety. The modern world is fast, ever changing and it can be hard to keep up.

Sometimes anxiety has a clear cause- sometimes it doesn't. Either way, it can feel very real and very difficult to manage alone.

Anxiety looks different for everyone, but you may be experiencing:

  • Constant worry or overthinking
  • Racing thoughts that won't switch off
  • Feeling tense, restless, on edge
  • Panic attacks or sudden waves of fear
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Avoiding certain situations
  • Feeling overwhelmed by everyday life

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully-qualified therapist I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics.

Counselling offers a safe space

Together, we can explore what may be contributing to your anxiety.

We can understand patterns in your thoughts and feelings.

We can find ways to manage overwhelming situations and moments.

I can help you build a greater sense of calm and stability.

How counselling can help

Over time, many people find they feel less overwhelmed.

They feel more able to cope with difficult thoughts.

People start feeling more confident in themselves.

They are then better able to relax and enjoy life!

A gentle, supportive approach

My approach is warm, non-judgmental, and most importantly, led by you.

Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

Led by you

You will not be pressured to share anything with me before you are ready to. Instead, we will work at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you.

If your anxiety is linked to past experiences, we can also explore approaches such as the Rewind Technique if is it appropriate.

What to expect from sessions?

Sessions take place online or by phone, making it easier to access support wherever you are in the UK.

We will:

  1. Start with a free initial consultation
  2. Talk about what's been going on for you
  3. Work together in ongoing sessions if it feels right

About me

I am a BACP registered counsellor offering online therapy across the UK.

I understand how difficult it can be to reach out- particularly when anxiety is telling you to keep everything inside.

My aim is to provide a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported.

My location

I offer telephone and online counselling sessions for clients in the Lincolnshire area and across the UK via Zoom, Teams, or WhatsApp video. Contact me to find out more about how online therapy works.

Fees & availability

Therapy sessions for individuals last up to 60 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis, and cost £50 per session. I also provide a limited number of spaces for those on low-income or for students; contact me to enquire about availability.

Note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 48 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment by bank transfer.
